A poem to my best friend.

you know,

a thousand haikus wouldn’t

neither would a hundred lectures

to put in words my love for you

and your little sounds, the squeals

but also the pure joy, the laughter

that blooms my heart with purpose

your morning hugs and dreams of void

every murder tale, relentless wonderings

sketches on pages and arms

innumerable memories

yet i find myself selfish,

these twenty months don’t suffice

i’m glad to annoy you everyday

i’m glad I share my thoughts

truly the only one soul

i could wholeheartedly yell

to all the stars and mystical forces

with a broad smile on my face

for I am grateful for this precious being

and my best friend right here

thank you for wiping my tears

for teaching me reasons

helping me grow and learn to love

for being by my side

when clouds darkened the snow

and life reached a new low

i’d shed more tears now

but hope you remember it all

with the sound of an angel

and mind of a devil

forever cheering for you

loving you with everything in me

thank you for being as tall as i

someday you’ll feel so whole

rejoiced cherishing wonders unknown

but for now,

i’ll laugh with you and rant

and apologise for all the times

i unintentionally lashed

i know it’s great

so I thank you once again

and these words echo

once again and for all

how do I tell you more?

you know.
