The Wicked Witch Hunt of the West

On the 8th of November, 2016, with 304 electoral votes to 227, the people of the United States of America chose their 45th President to be a New York businessman, Donald John Trump, over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Just like any other election, he was to be called the president-elect for three months before he occupied the White House on the 8th of January, 2017. However, what was in fact unusual about this election was that the defeated party refused to accept the legitimacy of the election, and probably took an oath that day to do what they must to remove the President from his office and tarnish his image.
Even months before the day of the Presidential Election, the then-President Barack Obama had authorized the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate the Trump Presidential Campaign for alleged links with Russians attempting to tamper with the results of the election. And hence began a political assassination campaign, with the basis of such a huge investigation being four Russian social media accounts which spent a combined USD 110,000. The mainstream media (news broadcasting channels like CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, etc.) declared Trump to be guilty of misconduct. Three years later, when the final special counsel report made by Robert Mueller finally was released, the Trump campaign was found to be not guilty of colluding with the Russians. The report also presented ten “possibilities” of obstruction of justice but never really presented adequate proof or even indicted him for a crime. And hence ended Step One of the Witch Hunt, with millions of taxpayer dollars wasted, only because four “meme” accounts were considered a threat to the integrity of the elections.
The way this investigation even came into existence is eyebrow-raising. The dossier authored by Christopher Steele on request from a company named Fusion GPS was the basis of this investigation, but the dossier contained nothing more than news snippets, Reddit posts and articles from left-leaning websites. How such a dossier made its way to the “top secret” section in the CIA and FBI is still unknown. Robert Mueller’s team consisted of highly partisan members, one of them being Bruce Ohr, whose wife worked for Fusion GPS and Ohr himself had met Christopher Steele before the dossier was made. Senior Prosecutor Andrew Weissmann had attended Hillary Clinton’s election-night party after her victorious attempt to win the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Another member, Jeanie Rhee, earlier used to represent the Clinton Foundation and had worked for President Obama’s NSA Deputy Director. Later, a Department of Justice report compiled by Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the FBI was wrong and made errors in 17 different cases to use the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to investigate members of the Trump campaign, with former FBI Director James Comey himself coming out to accept his mistake.
A political assassination campaign of this magnitude, apparently, was not enough for the Democrats. The President, in his capacity, contacted the President of Ukraine to enquire about the wrongdoings of rival presidential candidate, Joe Biden. Biden, in a conference held by Council on Foreign Relations, publicly stated that he had withheld USD 1 billion in aid to Ukraine as the nation had been investigating the wrongdoings of a company named Burisma, on whose Board of Directors sat Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son. Such an act qualified as quid pro quo, meaning that he used a government office to gain personal advantage. This is a punishable offence in the United States.
Now, the Democrats twisted the narrative to implicate Trump of quid pro quo, claiming that Trump had threatened to withhold aid from Ukrainian President Zielinsky in order to fetch dirt on a political rival. Apparently, President Obama could be exempted of this when he opened an investigation on Trump. Even after the Pentagon released transcripts of the call between President Trump and President Zielinsky, the Democrats in the House of Representatives went ahead to start an impeachment trial against the President, and in the trials, invited four “witnesses” who didn’t even have first-hand evidence against the President. Republicans in the House weren’t allowed to freely question the witnesses and even gag orders were placed on them. Despite no solid proof of wrongdoing, the Democrat-controlled House impeached Donald Trump, although the Senate overturned this and acquitted him.
But, despite an already long description of events, we are yet to reach the main subject of this article. The main subject being the recent accusations by Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) against President Trump of delaying the States’ response to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, I shall present the facts related to such accusations. President Donald Trump had authorized a travel ban on China and later on European nations, making the United States one of the first to do so. This was hailed by many experts as a necessary preventive measure. However, Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called the move “racist” and asked people to visit Chinese restaurants and Chinatown to fight the racism.
Trump took these preventive measures while Nancy Pelosi distributed her very costly, gold plated, customized Pelosi Impeachment Pens among her colleagues to sign the impeachment charges against Trump. Donald Trump then proposed a USD 1,200 paycheck to Americans who went out of work due to the imposed lockdown. He also pushed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to approve the malaria-drug hydroxychloroquine which showed very promising results in early tests in France and also proved to be effective in treating patients later on. Even after much praise from health experts, many Democrat Governors blocked and banned the usage of this drug, supposedly out of spite.
The Republican-controlled Senate had prepared a bipartisan Economic Relief Package with Republicans and Democrats working side-by-side and given the magnitude of the situation, the package had to be passed as swiftly as possible by both the Houses. It was at this point that Nancy Pelosi started to play hard-ball politics and held the entire nation hostage. She introduced her own “Economic Relief Bill” which included various unrelated policies which she had advocated earlier, unsuccessfully and used this emergency as political leverage. Several Senate Democrats hence stalled the bill in order to see their completely unrelated demands being met. They had to give such efforts up, however, due to widespread criticism. Even the mainstream media continuously attacked and slandered Trump. After Trump called out their fear-mongering attitude and tried to lift American spirits, media outlets went ahead to even criticize him for giving “false hope”.

It must be evident by now that these recent accusations are a part of yet another dirty trick by the Democratic Party, which has not been able to digest the loss in the 2016 elections, and is looking to play any card from its political deck to tarnish Trump’s image before the Presidential Elections in November 2020. The mainstream media and the Democratic deep state have done everything to bring about the President’s downfall, yet to this day he enjoys the support of the majority of American voters, and is expected to win his re-election bid later this year.
